You can request deletion of your Prapto account and associated data at any time. This page explains the two ways to request deletion, what data is removed, what we are legally required to keep, and how long it takes.
1 Delete from the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to delete your account is from within the Prapto mobile app:
- Open the Prapto app and sign in with your registered phone number.
- Tap the Profile icon at the bottom of the screen.
- Scroll down to Settings → Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. You'll receive an OTP on your registered phone number.
- Enter the OTP to complete the deletion. Your account and personal data will be removed immediately.
2 Delete by Email
If you can't access the app, you can request account deletion by emailing us:
- Email: info@amazecoders.com
- Subject: "Prapto Account Deletion Request"
- Include: The phone number registered with your Prapto account.
We will verify your identity and process the deletion within 7 business days. We'll send a confirmation email once the account has been removed.
3 What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:
- Your name, email, and profile photo
- Saved delivery addresses
- Saved payment methods (tokens are revoked with our payment partner)
- Push notification tokens (you will no longer receive notifications)
- In-app messages and chat history
- Search history and personalisation data
- Voice transcripts and image scan inputs from AI features
4 What We Keep (Anonymised)
Some data is retained in anonymised form for legal, tax, accounting, and fraud-prevention reasons. This data cannot be linked back to you personally:
- Order records: Required under Indian GST and consumer protection law (without your personal identifiers).
- Payment transaction records: Retained by our payment processor as required by RBI regulations.
- Aggregated analytics: Counts and metrics with no link to individual users.
5 Retention Period
- In-app deletion: Personal data is removed immediately upon OTP confirmation.
- Email deletion: Processed within 7 business days of verification.
- Anonymised records: Retained as long as required by Indian law (typically 7 years for tax and accounting records).
- Backups: Personal data is purged from rolling backups within 30 days.
